Which Tool?

Do You Need A Gallery?

The upside of a gallery is that it’s dedicated to images

  • automatic watermarking
  • EXIF information (info about the photo provided by digital cameras)
  • slideshows
  • and much more

Downside is that it’s not suited to text, meaning if you wanted to create your own page and write, it’s not going to happen.

Or Do You Need A Blog?

blog_v_gallery1.gifThe upside of a blog install is that

  • you don’t have to “blog”!
  • you can easily create pages and upload photos to them
  • pages that take on the look of your site automagically
  • ideal for search engine optimization (people finding you on Google)

Downside is you don’t get slideshows, batch uploading of images, and many other image-specific features.

Either way, post-build help from us includes a starter gallery of your images, training and hand-holding while you get started with uploading your photos.

Plus, both systems are completely pluggable, meaning you (us, whoever) can add any of — no kidding — about 1500 WordPress plugins, or the 100+ Gallery2 addons.
